Aaliyah's debut album Age Ain't Nothing However A Number debuted in 1994. Aaliyah Dana Haughton was just 15 when the album became Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced the collaboration and brought the singer into the spotlight. The year 1996 saw her release her second album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album contained the top-selling track If Your Girl only knew. Aaliyah became a well-known R&B vocalist after the release. In 2000, she appeared in the romance and action film Romeo Must Die alongside martial artists Jet-Li. Joel Silver spotted her in an awards show. She is from Indian origin and was born in Connecticut. Mann is her stage name. Mann is derived from her marriage name Mankad. She employs Aarti Man and Aarti Mahumdar to refer to her stage name. Though her first career was dominated by minor films and television parts, she gained prominence in the mid-2000s. Some of her other notable work comprise Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. The actress also appeared in a variety of commercials including Volvo and many other major car brand names. She continues her acting career with her home in Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
